Belize has a long and fascinating human history. The Maya, who ruled the land up until the 12th Century, built an outstanding archaeological heritage and many of their cities and temples are only now being uncovered.

In September 1981 British Honduras became officially Belize. This tiny nation offers superb natural wonders, an incredibly interesting and rich cultural history, while offering some of the most unbelievable beaches, breathtaking cayes, lush jungles and remarkable ruins! It is estimated that over 1400 ruins have not been localized yet.
What's involved?
Caves to Cayes offers the benefit of participating in different sports such as river kayaking, ocean kayaking, hiking and snorkeling just to name a few. After the white sandy beaches you will then pay a visit to pristine rainforests and ancient Mayan ruins. Both your visual and audible senses will be inspired when visiting every major ecosystem in Belize.

- Land in Belize City, continue onward to Placencia by airplane (included)
- Meet & greet by representative, afternoon at leisure. Meet fellow travelers at dinner.

Days 2 - 5

- We spend our days exploring the numerous islets and cayes. Our support boat follows you while kayaking among some of the most beautiful small Belize islands. Our leisurely pace will allow for plenty of time to explore, snorkel, swim or just relax in your hammock by the Caribbean sea.
- accommodation: 3 nights camping, 1 night hotel/lodge in Placencia on day 5
Over all group ability, weather, tides and currents are taken into consideration while safety is top priority, followed by maximizing wildlife viewings! |
