Italy, Europe
Sardinia, situated literally in the middle of the Mediterranean sea and surrounded by the mainland of Italy, by Corsica, Spain and the North African Coast. There simply are not enough descriptive words of color to describe the Sardinian sea and its hues in our language. It is soft and mesmerizing and depending from where you are looking at it, it is met with smooth pink and white stones, brown hearty sand or white granules of fine texture. The island is covered with hearty, green Mediterranean plants and from sand dunes and wheat fields to pine forests and lakes – you have it all. The view is constantly changing and always inspiring.Trips in Italy

Sardinia
Sardinia is all about the people, nature and the food. It is where stunning scenery, the genuine character of the people and the exquisiteness of their cuisine and ancient traditions have endured for centuries. The Sardinians are some of the most sincere people - they get such joy out of life, of conversation, of lending a helping hand, of preparing food and certainly out of eating it! They hold very firmly to their traditions and believes while at the same time have a very open mind and heart to outside cultures and philosophies. They are curious but not invasive.
The ancient history of Sardinia adds to its mystery. The most common artifact on the island was left by the Nuragic civilization. Over 7,000 stone, tower-like structures remain, yet with no written record to explain their significance. There are many hypotheses yet one thing is agreed upon; this civilization was astronomically and mathematically advanced. It is nothing short of a miracle that these towers still stand 3500 years later. Many of these sites are visited annually by anthropologists, archeologists and tourists alike.
