All of our West Coast Trail trips begin and end in Victoria on Vancouver Island.
Victoria International Airport is about 27.5 km from downtown Victoria. Airlines such as Air Canada, Westjet and Pacific Coastal Airlines offer flights to Victoria International Airport.
Once you’ve landed in Victoria, it’s a 30-minute ride by taxi or shuttle to Victoria downtown.
BC Ferries connects the Lower Mainland of British Columbia with Vancouver Island. Scheduled ferries run from Vancouver to Victoria. If you’re originating in Washington State simply take the Coho Ferry to Victoria.
You should plan on arriving in Victoria one night before your West Coast Trail adventure begins to attend the mandatory pre-trip meeting. We are happy to arrange accommodations at a variety of properties in Victoria; simply contact us in advance.
You’ll have the opportunity to meet your guides and fellow hikers at a scheduled pre-trip briefing at the Royal Scot Hotel & Suites the night before your adventure begins. Pre-trip briefing information will be provided in your final documents.
Rest up and relax, the real adventure begins the next morning with a very early start to the day!
